ANDREW RAMAGE - Pastor
I first came to MCC Brighton in 2011 when I gave my daughter a lift to a worship service and I became hooked. During that first service I met the lady that is now my wife. People describe me as an unconventional Christian, which I think suits me. I call myself a Christian because I follow the teachings and ideals of Jesus Christ but have my own beliefs and theology. I was elected as the settled Pastor of MCC Brighton on 1st January 2017 after 18 months as the congregational leader and am enjoying the challenges of this new role. I am the first (and so far only) European Graduate of the LEAD programme in MCC, which is one of the Leadership Training programmes, I also passed the Intentional Interim Pastors Training. I have qualifications in Social Care, identifying and dealing with issues of Mental Health and substance use as well as Assessment and Support for those with suicidal intent, mostly from my time working for the NHS in a community role. I run a Chaplaincy for the homeless and based on that I have founded a charity to give a safe place for rough sleepers to stay over night. When I am not in church or volunteering in the community I can be found riding my motorbike or playing on my Xbox One.
KIM PAWLEY - Vice Chair
I am in my early thirties and have had some very tough times but God pulled me through. I have been a member of MCC for 12 years and it’s my spiritual home. I have recently started preaching and leading worship, which I find challenging but enjoyable. I am a care worker and my greatest passion in life is helping others. I enjoy crafts especially painting and drawing designs.
Lucy Oliver - Board Member
I'm new to Brighton and have been coming to MCC regularly for about a year. Before that I was a member of MCC South London for ten years, because I am passionate about its mission to spread the message of God's inclusive love to everyone. I'm a massage therapist with many interests that include running and studying the Bible.
Philip Davis - Lay Delegate & Church Adminstrator
I have been part of MCC since the early 90s and it is my spiritual home. I feel called to serve and over the years I have usually been doing something, set-up, IT, sound, or anything else that is needed. I enjoy music too and have occasionally been seen at the front in the music group! Away from church I enjoy making costumes for a local theatre group and trying to keep fit! I hope to get back on a motorbike soon. I enjoy watching films on my projector, especially Star Trek!!
